Hi OSA Community,
For those who do not know me, I am Jonathan Faustine, your Chief Operating Officer at OSA.
The duty of the COO’s team is to support the educators and staff.
Basically, we are responsible for everything other than the student-facing work of teaching, learning & student support.
My teammates & I deal with buildings, technology, advancement & fundraising, security, finance, accounting, budgets, board reporting, OUSD and California compliance reporting, legal issues, payroll processing, HR, etc.
A number of OSA families have expressed an interest in how public schools in California are financed, and how OSA in particular addresses our unique challenges.
For those who are interested, I will be in the Student Center from 6pm-8pm on Monday, April 23rd, to answer any questions anyone may have about the finances at OSA.
If you are not able to make it to the discussion on April 23, or if you’d rather have a smaller conversation, please know that I answer every email from parents & guardians and that I am available in my office (2nd floor across from Ms. Jones) most every day. I am also usually at the APT meetings. If you have questions you’d like me to think about ahead of time, please do send them my way next week.
