Vol: 16 No: 16 January 19, 2018

Thank you to the many members of our community who have made gifts to the Annual Fund! We are 81% towards our goal!
Still waiting to make your gift? We know meeting the funding gap of $2,125 per student is not possible for everyone.
Please consider becoming an OSA Encore Society Member. This group of monthly gift donors are a critical part of bridging the gap between state funding and what it actually costs to deliver an OSA student’s artistic and academic programs.

small monthly gift of $30 or more has a big annual impact for our students:

  • $30/month can pay for a substitute allowing students to go on special field trips
  • $40/month pays for a Chromebook
  • $100/month is a huge value when comparing private arts lessons costs compared to the 3-4 hours of daily OSA immersive arts programming

Every gift of any amount makes a difference!

Email Diana Schneider, Annual Fund Manager at dschneider@oakarts.org or call 1-510-873-8807 with any questions!

Deadline for Photos!

Submit your yearbook photos by Thursday, February 1.  Here’s the guidelines:

Photos from actual cameras are preferable, but smartphone pictures might work if they are well lit and higher quality – 1000 pixel photos are the basic requirement. We appreciate all photos but strongly encourage them to be group photos from off-campus events, field trips, performances, informal gatherings, etc. Of course – amazing photos are always welcome, even if it’s a close-up of one student.

When sending/sharing the pictures please put in the subject line or the filename of the photos either the emphasis event you are taking pictures at, or the students you are taking pictures of. You can either share the photos from your Google account with yearbook@students.oakarts.org or email your photos to yearbook@students.oakarts.org.

By sending Oakland School for the Arts (OSA) photographs, OSA shall own all right, title, and interest, including the copyright, to be used for promotional purposes including without limitation to distribute all manner, format, and media. For any more questions please feel free to contact the email mentioned above.
