Help Us Fundraise With Good Eggs!
Hey OSA Parents,
This March and April, the grocery delivery service Good Eggs will donate 5% back to the Alliance of Parents & Teachers (APT) every time you shop. Enroll in the fundraiser by visiting schools.goodeggs.com, enter the code OSA, and place an order. 5% will go back to our school’s parent organization starting on February 25, but you can place an order with the code ahead of time to enroll early.
Haven’t tried Good Eggs? You’ll get $15 off your first order when you enroll!
Thanks,
APT Board
AP Tests for Enrolled High School Students
Year-end exams for high school students enrolled in one of our six AP classes are approaching and will be administered from May 9 – May 17. This letter, below, was sent home with students last week:
Dear AP student,
Thank you for your academic commitment to this challenging course of instruction. AP tests are approaching and will be administered on campus from May 9 – May 17, 2019. The schedule of exams appears below.
As there is a fee associated with ordering tests, we will only be ordering the exact number of tests that we need. There will be no extra test packets available if you change your mind after the ordering period has passed. Please indicate that you would like a test ordered by returning the following page along with your initial deposit of $20 toward the total test fee of $94. We will be collecting the remaining $74 between now and the test date. You may also pay the full exam amount at this time.
Students currently on our records as qualifying for free/reduced lunch have a total fee of $53. Please submit a $20 deposit check, made out to OSA, by the deadline, and bring a check for $33 between now and the test date. You may also pay the full exam amount at this time.
TO TAKE THE EXAM, A DEPOSIT OF $20 PER EXAM MUST BE RECEIVED BY FRIDAY MARCH 15th
If anyone is able to sponsor a student who may face economic hardship in paying for this test, please simply write your check for any additional amount as you are able. Any excess amount will be allocated to the Student Leadership Fund and is not tax-deductible. Additionally, those for whom the fee is an obstacle to taking the AP test(s) should please contact me before March 15th.
No one will have to miss the test because of an inability to pay.
Also, those students who wish to request accommodations under the terms of their existing 504 or IEP plans must do so by the deadline of Friday, February 22nd. Any accommodation requests for this national exam go through the College Board organization and are entirely separate from any accommodations you may already be receiving at school. Those with 504 plans should contact Ms. Snyder at extension 8804 or in room 335. Those with IEPs should contact Ms. Simons at extension 8257 or in room 257. All accommodation requests must be filed by February 22.
AP Test Schedule 2019

Also, if you are arriving past the scheduled start time on exam day, you may not be admitted to the testing room and will forfeit your deposit.
Thank you! Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to make a payment toward the testing fee.
